Hi, so I’m an 18 yr old male, I’m overweight at 5’9ish and weighing about 200 lbs. I’ve been trying to lose weight for quite some time now but I’m not having any noticeable success. I’ve been reducing my caloric intake so that my max is normally around 1,800 calories a day. I’m exercising when I can, despite not having many chances to exercise outside right now due to heavy snow. I do at least 200 pushups a day, in sets of 50 as well as jumping jacks (normally 100) and minute planks. I’ve seen muscle develop in my legs and my arms and forearms, but I haven’t seen any weight loss in my middle section. I realize that I can’t expect all my weight loss to come directly from my stomach area but I’m still discouraged that I’m not seeing any results. Ideas, tips? I’m currently taking a college level nutrition class so I’m trying to make sure I have a healthy-ish diet as well.
